Hi all,

How can a rough % mineral distribution be made with chemical analysis data?

In general you can get an idea, say you have 50% more sulfur than arsenic, then you can propose that the base mineral was orpiment.  If you have equal amounts of sulfur and arsenic then you cam propose that the base mineral may have been realgar.  But you could have some of each or a mixture of other arseno-sulphides.

If your material has been oxidised it can be even more dificult.  The best way is still by physical observation.
