Recycling Crusher Comparison (14 replies and 1 comment)
Both machines have the same size box on them xr400 is a demolition spec crusher dose the 26x44 have hydraulic setting or manual.
The difference in between this machine is big enough:
Both are Jaw Crushers (sorry, but it seems guys from Sandvik don't know their competitors well:-))..).
The XR400S is 45t machine with inlet opening 1100x700 mm, hydraulic CCS adjustment and possibility of hydraulic release for uncrushed material.
The PREMIERTRACK is 57 t. machine with inlet opening 1100x800mm and hydraulic-mechanic adjustment of CSS.
Throughput capacity of Premiertrak is slightly higher than XR400S and machine more heavy and reliable. It is more often use for quarry application. At the same time XR400S is more suitable for transportation and often use for recycling of C&D waste and also in quarries with not very hard rocks. So, choice of the machine, which one is better to use depending from the job which you need to do and result which you'd like to get:-)) Of there any questions maybe I can give you an advice:-)
And the crushing chambers and jaw plates are completely different for these two models.
Had to point that Premiertrack range had two models - 1165 (1100x650 jaw crusher) and 1180 (1100x800). The smaller variant was Metrotrack 0960. For US market Pegson often used Premiertrack 2644 name instead of 1165 (size in inches not in mm).
New variant of Premiertrack 1165 called XR400 (or XA400 - without hydraulic release system for swing jaw). Jaw plates were the same - not sure later because I did not get deal with Pegson parts for a while.
Premiertrak HAS NO models, this is only one model. 1165 was the oldest version, the modern one is 1180. Machine has been renewed several years ago.
As to the names Premiertrak and XR400S or XA400S these are completely different models with different weight and characteristics now, it is possible to see easy if you just check technical specification. Although, you are right, in the past when Powerscreen still manufactured old versions of the machines it was similar chambers for 1165 and XA400 (which is not XA400S), but that machines has problems and after several years of productions machines have been refreshed and disign has been changed.
As to the 1165 machine and jaw plates, they were the same on the first XA400S, but this models doesn't produced more than 4-5 years already.
I would suggest getting a tape measure and getting into the car and checking yourself. There has been many changes and it is not clear whether your requirement is for a new crusher or an older model. Another option is to get the YOM and serial numbers and contact Terex Powerscreen. You will see from their quote if they are the same part number and weight.
About the XR400, and not about XR400S. I did not say a word about these models either. About Premiertruck models - please look at the trucks of this machine here:
http://latc-sib.com/en/products/view/1180-used I have a scanned brochure of Premiertruck 1180 but how to attached it here - no idea.
To clarify YOM and serial number of the machine and then to contact Powerscreen is the most reasonable idea:-) Really. And thank you for your input and link. LATC is not a dealer of Powerscreen several years already (at least for Russian market).
Don't worry about brochure of Premiertrak I'm long in crushing business and in my previous job I sold enough many Premiertrak 1180:-) As to the XR400 and XR400S, the nuance here is that not many people know the difference and often mentioned not full model name.
May be not longer than me. 2003-2004 as the start point, right?

You may see 2644 (or 1165 or XA400). Look at Premiertruck name on the undercarriage.
There were two Premiertruck models at the early 2000.
Now I'm a little bit didn't catch what we going to discuss?:-) Have you seen my comment above where mentioned there were the time when 1165 and XA400 has similar crushing chambers?
Hi Guys, the Premiertrak 1165 & XR400 had the same jaw size as did the early XR400S of 1100-650mm, however the later XR400S was 1100-700mm & for those of you who don't know the X range has been renamed Premiertrak so the XR400S is now Premiertrak R400.
Also the XR400 is stamped at weighing in at 45,000kg but it actually weighs nearer to 48,500kg so just be careful when transporting these units.
In my experience the XR400 & XA400 have 1100x650 jaw, the XR400S & XA400S have 1100x700 jaw. Let me know if I'm wrong but I have sold jaw liners for both types without problems.
Yes you are right on the sizes. The 400 Series also comes in an XA and XR configuration. The XA has hydraulic Adjustment for the opening. The XR has Hydraulic release in the case of a piece of tramp iron entering the crushing chamber when in recycling applications.
I have owned both machine's, the XR with hydraulic adjust is by far the best.
What is the different between XR400 Jaw Crusher and 2644 Premier Track? Both are Recycling crushers but are the jaw plates are same for both machines? What are the differences?
