screening efficiency (4 replies)
It is not so simple. For good results use Metso methodic in Metso Crushing and Screening Handbook. You can download it from https://www.academia.edu/31140121/Crushing_and_Screening_Handbook
look screening efficiencies are simple, give me any screen and I will guide you on its screening efficiency - Its what I learnt in my early days with Tega India, honed the skill at Dunlop Skega - worked on it at Trellex/Trelleborg/Allis Chalmers / Svedala /Metso and then I perfected it or really understood it at - Corrotech/Melwire - Screenex - from a MASTER in the art and I have been using the skills acquired on the job over 30 years , since then even . Please don't be put off by all the smoke and mirrors , It's simple - look at it this way
1 WHY are you screening at this stage , the material to go into the screen and what you want to do next
2 where will it go next and WHY and what is it doing at the next stage - a working deck will tell you a lot - as well as what is happening AFTER
3 WHY do you think the screening is NOT efficient - YOU - define screen efficiency ? this will be interesting ! I know that plant operators ARE THE BEST judge of screening performance
4 WHY are you using , whatever screening media , you have currently on the screen ? - who selected the screen media ? this will be even more interesting - this is a section where so often I hear that , FL Smidth, METSO, Schenk, Sandvik - sales rep said so - of course they will say so - each wants to push what makes the best ales for them to meet their sales targets - its their job --------------- in fact there is enough of material out there to teach you or guide on what various screen media will do - screen media will ALL work differently and delivery a different screening efficiency and at a different costs per tonne screened ? - there are various types of screens - Xtensioned or modular - they can be - wire - poly coated wire, self cleaning, polyethylene., polyurethane - rubber - various duro - -composite wire and poly - slotted - round , rectangular - square apertures - with flow - against flow - in line or staggered apertures .......................................... do you really think its ok to use any of them for the job on hand , or do you think one, will work better than the other - WHY ?
5 now WHY do you think or know that your screen is NOT working at peak efficiency ?
5 WHY questions , answer each , what's the bet you will know what to do - next ?
which formula can permit me to estimate a screen capacity and efficiency.
