Dear Sirs,

I would like to know for my academic interest about the ways to recycle the overburden, tailing etc. of a gold mine into reusable construction and relevant filling material if any.

Thanks and regards.

So as recycling is concerened, is mostly used in undergroung mines whereby the tailings are recycled back for underground backfilling. The recycling process requires fitration either using rotary or disk filter so as to reduce the moisture content then after that the tailings solids are sent to the paste plant whereby are mixed with cement to form the paste which is sent to the underground.

I think this will cover what you need Sridhar.

In 2011, Zhang conducted a research about recycling of mine tailings through geopolymerization. Instead of mixing the tailings with Portland Cement, he only used sodium hydroxide and water to form a geopolymer paste .You may check his presentation here.
