Fluorite flotation: please anybody suggest good depressants for silica and calcite in fluorite flotation.
My specs are now: Raw fluorspar has CaF2 =60%, CaCO3=19.5% and SiO2=9.7%, I am already using water glass, pH=10, with oleac acid as collecter. Concentrate has CaF2=88.7%, eliminated silica to 0.43% but still there is CaCO3 about 5%. I have reviewed http://www.min-eng.com/commodities/nonmetallic/fluorspar/refs.html
