Hello, apart from arranging regular screen maintenance, how can I check for interstage screen leakage manually during the shift?

I am assuming the intertank screens are of the rotating basket type (swept in tank rotating screens).  Sample the discharge on a shift basis and manually screen at say 0.5mm.  If you observe carbon on the screen then you have a leak.

no carbon is suppose to be visible when you do the check on the discharge sample, if any carbon is visible it will mean : 1. if its finer than the screen appeture it will mean you are creating fines in your system,2.if its coarser than the screen appeture then it will mean you have leaks.

A quick check can be carried up by placing something as simple as a kitchen type wire sieve fixed to a pole into the discharge stream to see if carbon granules are escaping. Construction of similar implements with a proper screen mesh can usually be quickly made on a mine site to do the same job.
