Basically, the elution or stripping of activated carbon is performed to get a high-grade gold cyanide solution (eluate), which is treated by electrowinning or some cases by cementation. During the elution process, the solution causes the desorption of the cyanide complexes. It means, the eluate may content gold, silver and minor contents of base metals. If the content of base metals is high, the  Dore bar will be contaminated.
